All of the Whatsapp users were asking this for a very long time as this was very much required in the social messaging application. This update was under the beta testing for a very long time.
Well, it is finally here, Whatsapp with its new update allows the users to set a fingerprint to unlock authentication for the app. Which means you can now secure your WhatsApp conversation and an additional layer biometric security.
Which means that you can goodbye to all those third-party app lockers which you used to lock your phone application as to make them secure from unwanted authentication?
In one of the recent blog posts, WhatsApp has announced that the fingerprint lock authentication is for all the Android users. As the update was only rolled on android devices only. Now the users can secure their WhatsApp data with just their fingerprints every time someone tries to open your WhatsApp.

The feature already rolled out to those who were having IPhone’s in the previous update where WhatsApp allowed its users to lock the application with the FaceID or TouchID authentication of the apple device. The Android Update came later though.
A user can enable or disable the option in the Account privacy setting. As the option is turned on users can see the WhatsApp will ask for fingerprint data as soon as one opens it.
